Welcome to KidzCare Pediatrics where you will find health care professionals dedicated to providing the highest quality medical care to our patients and families. We’ve had the privilege of providing pediatric care in NC since 2003 and now extending into Georgia as of 2017.
KidzCare is a leading Pediatrics Clinic in Spring Lake NC. Our objective is to make sure all our youth patients have access to high end pediatric services. Our care includes preventive service, diagnostics, therapy and promoting good health through both child and parenting practices. From Spring Lake to Raeford to Fayetteville and all locations beyond, KidzCare’s doctors make it a priority to serve the community to the best of its abilities at all times.
Our pediatrics doctors are all either board eligible or board certified. We retrain as necessary and needed, ensuring even our general practitioners are up to date on the latest techniques and procedures for infants and children. That’s how our practice has built its reputation, offering the community courteous, professional and assured health care needs on all levels. And that will stay our priority, providing an exemplary, personal, professional and nurturing environment for our youth patients and their families.
We have waiting rooms for newborns, and waiting areas that separate healthy and sick children. Our exam rooms are kid friendly. We take major insurance and assure you the privacy of your family is a major concern. Our Pediatrics Office in Spring Lake NC will always step front and center with its commitment to being a provider of the best medical care available. In 2010, we opened Spring Lake Pediatrics. Our office at Spring Lake is a modern facility which has approx. 2000 sq. ft of space. The facility consists of separate waiting areas for newborns, healthy kids and sick kids. We have 4 kid-friendly exam rooms, and separate triage areas which enable us to move our patients around quickly. We have bi-lingual staff to facilitate our patients and their families. Till March 2012, we have treated about 10,000 patients at this location.

Jasna Torrez, MD
Dr. Jasna Torrez is a native of Belgrade, Serbia. She attended the University of Belgrade Faculty of Medicine from 1991 through 1999 and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Torrez continued her medical education at the University of Belgrade from 1999 to 2002 and obtained a master’s degree in Medical Science in Neonatology.
In 2007, Dr. Torrez moved to the United States to study the English language and to prepare for and take the USMLE exams. After passing the USMLE exams, Dr. Torrez attended the Medical School at the University of Hawaii pediatric residency program from 2008 to 2011. She completed her pediatric residency program 3rd year at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center and graduated in June of 2015.
Dr. Torrez has been licensed to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina since February 2016. She is a member of the American Board of Pediatrics and will be taking her Pediatric Board exam in October of 2016. Dr. Torrez is also certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and BLS for Healthcare Provides.
Dr. Torrez has been employed with KidzCare Pediatrics since 2016 and lives in Fayetteville with her daughter.

Andrea Penny, FNP
Andrea Penny - graduated from Frontier Nursing University with Masters in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019. Currently pursuing a Doctorate of Nursing Degree at Frontier Nursing University.
I am a certified Nurse Practitioner. Certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation. Prior to working as a Nurse Practitioner, I worked at Wake Medical Center as a registered nurse for 14 years, the last 9 in labor and delivery. I am a member of the AANP - American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, NAPNAP - National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and AAP - American Academy of Pediatrics. I enjoy spending time with my family. I enjoy the beach, mountains, photography, and Carolina basketball.

Chelsea N. Boyd, CPNP
Chelsea grew up as a military child and lived in Florida, Hawaii, and North Carolina. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minor in Public Health in 2015. She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 2021. She plans to also complete her doctoral degree in the future.
I am a certified pediatric nurse practitioner with PNCB. Certified in Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. I have always loved medicine and caring for children. I started as a certified nursing assistant in high school and knew I wanted to work in healthcare. Prior to working as a nurse practitioner, I worked at Atrium Health: at Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Hospital and Levine Children’s Hospital as a PICU, medical-surgical nurse, and on an Epilepsy specialized unit. I have also worked in public health school systems and volunteered during the pandemic giving vaccines to the community. I worked as a travel nurse and have spent time at MUSC children’s hospital emergency, Moses Cone hospital pediatrics and NICU unit, and Cape Fear pediatric’s unit. I am a member of the NAPNAP - National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and AAP - American Academy of Pediatrics.
I enjoy the beach, traveling, being physically active, hiking, kayaking, fashion, and spending time with my family and 3 dogs.
