Chelsea’s upbringing as a military child allowed her to experience life in various places, including Florida, Hawaii, and North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2015. In 2021, she successfully completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, with future plans to pursue a doctoral degree.
As a certified pediatric nurse practitioner with PNCB, Chelsea holds certifications in Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Her passion for medicine and caring for children has been a lifelong calling, beginning as a certified nursing assistant during her high school years. Her healthcare journey includes valuable experience at renowned institutions such as Atrium Health: Jeff Gordon’s Children’s Hospital, Levine Children’s Hospital, and on an Epilepsy specialized unit. Chelsea has also contributed to public health school systems and volunteered in community vaccination efforts during the pandemic. Her career has taken her to various healthcare settings, including travel nursing roles at MUSC Children’s Hospital emergency, Moses Cone Hospital pediatrics and NICU unit, and Cape Fear Pediatrics unit.
Chelsea is an active member of professional organizations, including the NAPNAP – National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and AAP – American Academy of Pediatrics.
Beyond her professional life, Chelsea finds joy in the beach, travel, physical activity, hiking, kayaking, fashion, and cherishing moments with her family and three dogs.
