Peter Rice, originally from Kentucky, embarked on a remarkable educational journey that led him to where he is today. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Louisville with the intention of pursuing medical school. However, an unexpected opportunity arose when he was accepted into Stanford University for graduate school, where he achieved a Ph.D. in biophysical chemistry.
Following his time at Stanford, Dr. Rice continued his pursuit of a medical career at the University of California Irvine medical school, earning his Medical Degree in 1995. He holds a certification in Pediatrics and is honored to be a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
In his practice, Dr. Rice goes beyond routine check-ups and medical care. He takes the time to engage with his young patients and their parents, stressing the importance of reading and encouraging outdoor exploration. He also inspires them to balance their academic commitments with the adventure of discovering their true passions. Whether it’s delving into automotive repairs, exploring state parks, taking on mountain biking, or immersing themselves in the world of books in a library, Dr. Rice has experienced them all.
Dr. Rice is enthusiastic about his role at KidzCare Pediatrics in Western North Carolina and looks forward to making a positive impact on the children and families he serves.
