Telehealth

Illnesses and minor health concerns can happen at any stage of childhood, but they may not always require a trip to the office. Telehealth visits provide a convenient way for your child to receive trusted pediatric care from the comfort of home.

During the visit, one of our providers will talk with you and your child about their symptoms, review relevant medical history, and complete a visual assessment when appropriate. We may also ask about changes in sleep, appetite, behavior, or activity level to better understand your child’s condition and recommend the next steps.

PEDIATRIC VIRTUAL VISITS

Trusted Pediatric Care From Wherever You Are

Our pediatric telehealth services bring convenient care directly to your family through secure telehealth visits. From evaluating symptoms to answering questions and recommending next steps, our pediatric providers are here to help your child feel better—all from home or another comfortable setting.

Convenient and secure virtual visits connect your child with trusted pediatric care for certain health concerns, follow-ups, and consultations from the comfort of home.

Telehealth appointments offer established patients a simple and secure way to receive pediatric care from home or another comfortable location. During a virtual visit, one of our providers can assess your child’s symptoms, answer questions, and recommend treatment for many non-emergency concerns—helping your family get timely care without the added travel.

Telehealth may be a good option when your child’s condition can be safely evaluated through a video visit.

Common reasons to schedule a telehealth appointment include:

  • Cold symptoms, coughs, or mild fevers
  • Rashes, pink eye, or minor skin concerns
  • Allergies or medication follow-ups
  • Mild stomach or digestive concerns

Based on your child’s needs, your provider will recommend treatment and explain the appropriate next steps. If an in-person examination or testing is needed, we will help your family determine where and when to seek additional care.

Components of Virtual Care

Telehealth visits allow our pediatric providers to evaluate your child’s symptoms and offer trusted care from the comfort of home or wherever you are. Each appointment focuses on understanding your concerns, recommending appropriate treatment, and helping your child feel better safely.

What to Expect

Assessment

During a telehealth visit, we’ll ask about your child’s symptoms, including when they began, how severe they are, and whether they have changed. We’ll also discuss recent health history, sleep, appetite, and activity levels to help our providers understand your child’s condition and recommend the appropriate next steps.

What to Expect

Guidance and Treatment

Based on what is determined during the visit, we’ll provide personalized recommendations to help manage your child’s symptoms at home. This may include rest, fluids, over-the-counter medications, and guidance on what to watch for. We’ll also explain the next steps and let you know if an in-person visit or additional follow-up is recommended.

What to Expect

Follow-up Treatment

After the visit, we may recommend a follow-up to check on your child’s recovery or make changes to their care plan. Depending on their needs, this may be another virtual appointment or an in-person visit. We’ll clearly explain what to expect, what symptoms to watch for, and when to seek additional care.

Telehealth FAQs

Parenthood comes with plenty of questions, and you don’t have to navigate them alone. The KidzCare team is here to provide trusted guidance and help you make informed decisions about your child’s health and well-being.

  • How do I know if telehealth is appropriate for my child?

Telehealth can be a helpful choice for many non-emergency needs, including minor illnesses, rashes, allergies, and follow-up appointments. It may be appropriate when a provider can safely assess your child’s symptoms through discussion and a visual exam.

  • What technology do I need for a telehealth visit?

For your child’s telehealth appointment, you’ll need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone, as well as a reliable internet connection. Choose a quiet, well-lit area where the provider can clearly see and hear your child throughout the visit.

  • Can prescriptions be provided during a telehealth visit?

Yes. When medication is appropriate, your child’s provider may send a prescription directly to your preferred pharmacy following the telehealth evaluation. They’ll also explain how and when to give the medication safely.

  • Is telehealth safe and secure?

Yes. Telehealth appointments take place through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform designed to protect your family’s personal and medical information throughout your child’s visit.
